Drum & Bass Podcasts, Photoshoots & The Future

Time flies so fast these days, so much happens in a week that I struggle to keep up with it myself sometimes! Alas, I finally have some time to update you with what is going on over here at Havey HQ 😛

Drum & Bass podcasts

Let’s start off with this as a pretty cool development happened last week, not only with DJ D-Vox playing two of my songs on her radio show, but with another super friendly and supportive DJ who goes by the name of Detroit Raver. He’s played a few of my tracks on his radio show on the Drum Circle in the last couple of years and has been working tirelessly on getting his new platform “Drumbase.space” up and running.

Anyway, the launch of this new platform happened last weekend (28th October 2016) and he asked if I wanted to put together a 1 hour set of my music. So in a frenzied excitement, I cobbled together a mix in the limited free time I have and it got aired on Sunday 30th October! It features 16 of my songs (track listing at the bottom of the article), some of which are released, some of them will be free download and some already are 😀

The feedback I had in the chat room was incredible and thanks a lot to Cheno & David for tuning in as well, I appreciate the support you boys showed there!

Another final development is that the Havey’s Highlights podcasts will feature on this platform once per month, meaning that the artists will get more exposure, which is the whole point of doing them in the first place! I’m over the moon with this and can’t wait to start making them again, I know it’s been a while. Life outside music has taken over but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it right? 🙂

Exitus Photoshoot

Fast forward to this weekend and I had my first photoshoot with Exitus Records (FiendReflex, Quartizone & Subteq)! We spent the day in London (Waterloo area) to get high quality artist photos (courtesy of Stature Photography) and I conducted my first interviews with FiendReflex & Subteq, which was very exciting! There are some big things happening with Exitus and long term plans which I can’t wait to share with you along the way!

Just so you know, Exitus Records was the sister label to Allowance Records, but it is now the main focus of head honchos FiendReflex, Quartizone & Subteq. There will be a bigger drive to give the fans a complete experience of the artist releases, with interviews, press releases and podcasts coming out of it. You will not want to miss out, that’s for sure 🙂

The Future

I always do my best to keep you up to date with the latest. I’m fully aware that I still have songs that were released a long time ago that I haven’t written about yet but I will get round to it, I promise 😛 I guess you’ll just have to subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss out when I do post something hey 😉

Thanks for all the support as always!
