As it is with life, things are usually changing over here at Havey HQ and I felt like writing a blog to tell you all about it. So if you have a couple of minutes, let’s have a digital chat about things and see what’s going on as I talk about my next release, travel, cryptocurrency and life in general!
This all started out as a true musical adventure for me back in 2011 when I was looking for an outlet to upload my tracks to – in came SoundCloud (thanks Shell)! Making music in the form of Liquid Drum & Bass with influences from Trance was my way of escape but it was never just about creating “another track” for me.
Moments In Time
I found myself at the music studio when I was going through tough times or moments of jubilation to create a track that would be like a time stamp of that event. Something that I would come back to in years gone by and remember that moment.
In each case, there would always be a reason for making the track with a story behind it and I wanted to share these experiences with you so that you can get something more than just a few minutes of sound. Rather, I’d take you on a journey with me and we can all connect, sharing the positive vibes and helping to push each other through the negative parts of life.
The Comeback EP – End Of 2018
This all leads me to begin introducing my next EP which is called “The Comeback”, to be released at the end of 2018. The premise of this EP is that no matter what life throws at you and how low you feel in your current situation, you WILL bounce back and be stronger than before. There will be 6 high energy Trance Liquid Drum & Bass tracks, each with their own raison d’être and will be sharing more about this as time goes on 🙂
This is still going strong and DJ Pi’s recent rendition for September 2018 was a blast featuring tracks from the last 20 years! In case you missed it, catch up with it here. My next show will be on 20th October and I will keep you posted about that as well.
I’ve been sharing some of my travels this year to the Southwest of the UK (Cornwall) but that’s something I want to do more of as there are some wonderful places out there that you need to visit! Of course, I want to hear from you about where you have been as well so whenever you see me post about a trip, join in the comments, e-mail or message back and let’s get planning for our next trip 🙂
Soundtrack To Travelling
I’ve already began creating some tracks after being inspired from my previous travel adventures in 2014 & 2015 and these will be part of an EP in 2019 for sure. There’ll be more on this but safe to say that travelling has also played a big part in my life, not only for music creation but also meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and blogging about them. If you can visit a new place, do it, it will change your perspective on things 🙂
A dirty word to many, or just far too confusing to even try and get your head around. I know, I’ve been there and I sometimes get confused when I try to explain it to others! However I think there are some really good projects out there which are looking to make things better for everyone and it’s certainly ruffling a few feathers in the financial world.
At the beginning of 2018, I tried to get my head around what on Earth is going on here, seeing as I couldn’t find any simple explanations to teach me like I’m 5 years old. So, I thought I’d write my own blog series about it, taking it back to the absolute basics using no technical language whatsoever and keeping it as simple as possible. I decided to call it “Bluffer’s Guide to Cryptocurrency” and created a Facebook Page to help share some knowledge about what I’ve picked up over time, with links to the full series there.
Not Financial Advice
I have to say this as I am not a financial adviser and I’m not telling you what coins to invest in. If all you see is a get-rich-quick scheme and the stories of overnight millionaires then you are playing a very risky game. Always do your own research with everything you do but the Bluffer’s Guide is your reference to help understand the basics of the technology, why it exists and how to use wallets & exchanges. Have fun 🙂
If this was easy, we’d be sorted right? Alas, it isn’t so we need to ride the storms and surf the waves but take care of ourselves in the process. It’s very easy to get wrapped up in our own situations that we don’t see the bigger picture sometimes, which is why you need to do what you can to keep healthy, both mentally and physically. I’ll be sharing what I have found useful to make me feel better having struggled in the past and hope that you benefit from it as well.
Seeing as I don’t feel like I am just a Drum & Bass Producer any more, you will see a combination of blogs from about Travel, Crypto and Life, which will feature the Liquid Drum & Bass tracks I’ve produced to help provide a sound track to these stories.
So that’s all from me for now in this big update from me. I hope you enjoyed this catch up and I look forward to hearing from you, as well as sharing some of these stories in the future! Stay safe 🙂
